At Jai Medical Center, we care about your health and want to ensure that our patients have access to care when it is needed, which is why we offer telemedicine visits (for our established patients).

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is when you use technology, like a computer or a phone, to talk to a doctor about your healthcare needs or issues. Telemedicine allows you to have a doctor’s appointment without going to the office.

Jai Medical Center offers telemedicine visits for a variety of healthcare reasons to include:

• Follow-Up Appointments
  • Such as lab and specialty report review, prescription refills, etc.
• Sick visits
• Wellness visits

Is a telemedicine visit covered through my insurance?

Most health insurance plans do cover telemedicine visits.  If your health insurance plan does not provide coverage for a telemedicine visit, our staff will inform you prior to your visit.

How can I schedule a telemedicine visit with my Primary Care Provider?

To schedule a telemedicine visit with your Primary Care Provider, please call us at 410-433-2200.  In some cases, we may be able to offer you a same-day telemedicine visit with your Primary Care Provider.

How should I prepare for my telemedicine appointment?

Your telemedicine visit may be audio and/or audio-video.  For audio video visits, please ensure that you have access to either a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access. To ensure that we are able to contact you for your telemedicine visit, please ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact information on file for you.

In addition, please ensure that you are in a quiet, private place for your appointment.  A telemedicine visit is just like any other doctor’s visit, so we want to ensure that we are able to discuss your healthcare needs in a private manner.
